The cottage was comfortable and warm for a winter break.
The bed was extremely comfy with very good quality bed linen.
Devizes is an interesting market town with ample parking.
We enjoyed various walks and frequented a range of the cafés in the town.
The canal offered lovely walks to pubs in both directions for lunch.
We had a really good week's holiday.

Positive Comments The seclusion and quiet location. Village was pretty and people so friendly. Owner left us to our own devices although on same site. Good base for visiting local towns.

This cottage was lovely the owner was welcoming but, at the same time left me to my own devises I didn't feel like they were constantly watching me.
The cottage was clean and comfortable although a little cold, I did visit in December.
I loved the little touches like fresh Milk and nice biscuits good to know when you arrive you can have a drink straight away.
Wiltshire is beautiful and would love to move down there.
I would definitely visit again and I've told all my friends about this cottage.
Good distance to all tourist sites.

Nothing really loved it all, the paint work was a little tired in the property if I'm being picky but, I visited at the end of the season and it was lovely otherwise.
I did not like getting a parking ticket within 2hours of being n Devizes.

The locality was excellent; Urchfont was an extremely friendly village with a great community spirit, very quiet with little through traffic.
Central to many other attractive places.
God country walks.
An unspoilt village.
A lovely church with a friendly congregation and a Sermon with food for thought.
We climbed the church tower had an excellent view of the lovely countryside our Guide in charge of the Church tower Bell ringers needs a larger team.
With the many church activities it was sad that few of the younger people (so we were told) attended the church services.

Fantastic time in this cosy cottage, everything we needed was here. Warm and snug despite being February. A warm welcome given by the owners. Will return.

Poem written by a guest at The Pottery July 2012-07-31

A couple of old O.A.Ps

Come to Urchfont to take their ease

A welcome warm we did receive

We really didn’t want to leave

The Pottery was comfy & cosy.

Everything looked & felt quite rosy.

Our hosts were friendly & indeed

Attended to our every need

Duke & Freya were friendly too.

They made us welcome as dogs do.

With friendly barks & wagging tails

Their friendly welcome never fails.

Our stay we started to enjoy & like

We went here & there on our motor bike.

It got hot & hotter by day

Never satisfied some would say.

A big thank you goes to our host

Who’ve proved to be, just the most

Lovelier people you could not find

We’re sorry to have to leave behind.

With sadness we must say goodbye

We say goodbye with a tearful eye

Our journey home is far away

We would like to return some day
